Roark
Hopefully you finally figured it out for sure, way to stick with it. I know a few months ago you were ready to throw in the towel, good to see your sticking it though. Just think about all the experience you'll have when you get this cleared up. Hopefully you wont have anymore problems once this gets cleared up.

From Velvet (fish disease) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia suggestiosn to cure velvet include blacking out the tank and using meds containing acriflavine. I thought the blacking out the tank was interestign as the velvet is apparantly photosynthesizing.

Also the methylene blue is effective although hard to find. Kordons Ich Attack is also effective against velvet and should be readily available in most big box retail fish stores is plant and biological filter safe and 100% organic.

I think I'm gonna try the acriflavine. I know where I can easily obtain a cheap product that contains it at wal mart. Acriflavine and meth blue is the only thing I haven't tried at this pt.

Don't worry Brian. I haven't spent as much money as u might think. All I've really bought is Coppersafe and Wardley's Ich stuff. For this particular fish...
