Default Cucumber for my fish

s1o i was thinking about droping a cucumber slice in with my phantom and bloodheart tetras would they eat it...and would it hurt them?

Won't hurt them, and they should nibble at it. Not sure how much veggies the tetras will eat. I know bottom feeders (plecos usually) love them.

It would be good for them IF they eat it. My tetras won't touch cucumber, zucchini or green beans. The only fish in my tank that will graze on it is the otos, dwarf gourami, and occassionally the cherry barb.
Also, blanche it by dropping it in boiling water for about 2 min. Makes it softer to eat.

I drop a piece of zucchini in my tank periodically for my otos, and notice that the platys and guppies tend to peck away at it as well. It's been pretty good for the otos as they seem to consume the zucchini.
