Default New 60 Gallon Tank Coming. Have Some Ideas. Suggestions/Advice Needed!!

Greetings All- My new 60 gallon tank should be here in a few days. I would like the tank to be filled with semi-aggresive fish and have done research on quite a few. Here is my current list. Any help/advice would be appreciated.

The 'floor' of the tank will be half gravel and half sand. As in one half of the tank is gravel, the other half is sand (not a mix).

1. Six (6) Tiger Barb ---better to be in a school
2. One (1) Rainbow Shark
3. Two (2) Spotted OR Amazon Puffers (I have read that amazon puffers can get big)

That is all I have right now. Maybe some Zebra Danios? Not sure. Once the tank has cycled would order should I put the above listed fish into their new home?? I read that the TB should be put in last!

What do you think?? Thanks. -Matt

If I'm not mistaken, puffers aren't very friendly fish. Nemo DID lie.
The spotted puffers are adorable, but I've heard they can be very territorial (and messy.)

Sounds like a good stocking idea otherwise!

Most agressive fish last. That's not nessicarily TB on your list. But I'd wait for some more 'informed' replies ^^

THanks for the advice. I read that Tiger Barbs and Puffers get along very well!! I considered a few sharks for thank but learned that it would be best if only one was present!!

Oh ok! I didn't know =] now I know something new!
They probably get along well because the TB are nippers, and the puffers can defend themselves... Then when the puffers go all evil on the TB, I guess the TB would all just swim away.

SO! Perhaps some Danios, they're cute.... No other reccomendations though XD I don't know what I'd put in a 60. I'm having a hard time with a 30 long!

Puffers should for the most part be kept in species only tanks.
Or at the least very fast fish.

I'm with Xavier on the puffers. If you really want puffers do a species only tank.

My first thought when I started reading your post was a red fin shark. And then you had a rainbow shark listed. I would build my stocking list around him. The tigers would probably go great with him.
