| I Need Suggestions! Hey its me, i'm back.... long time no fish talk...hahaha.
Well yah, im getting new fish today and want to know what u think i should get.... I have 5 tigers, and 2 ottos.... one of the tigers has a swimming problem so i wouldnt want the new fish to pick on him... and the oto's are really peaceful so i dont want to disrupt that... my tank mates are all happy and i want it to stay that way with the new addition.... but i also would like a larger sized fish... not too big though just, bigger. and preferably colorful...

| What about a dwarf gourami? They get to about 3-4". My full grown one is about 3. And dg's are very colorful. But limit one to a tank. OR, what about a couple bolivian rams or german blue rams? BR's get a little bigger than GBR's. BR's about 3" and gbr's at about 2.5 I think. BR's are not quite as colorful but still a good looking fish. Rams have spunk and I would think be able to hold their own with the barbs.
I'm not sure about mixing any of the suggested fish with the barbs though so I'd wait for some more replies.

| Yah, i thought about rams, but the problems would be on their high temperature preference, and they are chiclids...... but thanks!

| Not sure but perhaps some cardinal tetras? They're very hardy and healthy fish, and beutiful at that. I'm pretty sure they're not pickers... Never had a problem with them. They're VERY colorful too.

| I wouldnt add a pair of GBR's or bolivians. I would just go with a gourami. Personally i think that the tiger barbs will eventually out grow your tank right now.

| thats what i had been looking into... i found that a tiger barbs maximum size is about 2.5"..... so then you do the inch per gallon, and it turns out to be just fine with more fish inside...
on the gourami, i had looked into a dwarf gourami, do u think that would be fine?
