Default Angelfish Attacks!

In my 10 gallon tank I have one Angelfish (medium size) and one fancy guppy left, all the others died. I thought the one I have left wouldn't make it too much longer being the only one and being a community fish, surprisingly he's doing great. I noticed the other day my Angelfish biting at his tail. At the moment I have the guppy in a breeder net in the 10 gallon so the Angel can't get to him. My question is I have a half-gallon tank Marina Betta Kit - Aquariums - PetSmart If I put the guppy in this tank would he survive or does he need a filter, air pump, and heater?

Yes, he needs the heater and filter. I really think that a half gal is too small for even a guppy though.

That's want I thought, thanks for confirming it though. No worries he'll be out of that breeder net and in his new home with my boyfriend by the end of the week. My boyfriend's female betta just died last week and he just needs to clean the tank out for him. He'll be in a 5 gallon hex with other guppies soon. : ) I'll miss him though.

|Ummm....a 10G is too small for an Angel too which is probably why hes getting aggressive.

I respect your opinion but since the snail is the only other one in the tank and I don't plan on buying anymore fish for it, I believe 10 gallons is enough for the angel. I've done my research on them and read and was told that 10 gallons is enough for one angel. So though I respect your opinion I have to disagree.

I agree with everyone else. Angels can get 2-3 times their size tall. So a 12" 10gal, minus a few inches for substrate and water level, is not tall enough for a full grown adult angel. Your fish will become stunted and die an early death in a small tank like that.

10 gallon is to small for an angel.
Most angels require a minimum 30 gallon tank.

I am sure one can survive in a 10 gallon tank but in the long run a larger fish tank would be best.
