I've heard more than one horror story of someone thinking they got a great deal on a larger tank, only to have it develop a crack or break altogether at a later time just because it was a reptile tank.

Great point. I once filled up a 50 gal reptile tank not realizing it wasn't made for fish. I've never seen glass bow that much. I'm sure that within a day it would have busted.
