| Cichlid-Man,
I am located in the Piedmont of NC. Right on the borderline of NC and Va. Between Danville and South Boston Va. I am so close to Va. that when I want to go to town, I cross over the NC/Va border and back to NC again.
You could say I go through 3 states just to go shopping for groceries. Most times I just shop in Va any way. Taxes are cheaper as is the gas too!
My local fish store is located in Va. as well.

| I don't think I would ever be ready for a salt water tank. My late nephew used to try to get me to dump my freshwater tanks and go salt, but I never would. Too much expense, equipment, and worries.
I like my freshwater tank. At least I will once it gets here.

| The only club I belong to is my skeet club which is over on the Va side.
I do not know of any clubs around here. At least I have not looked for any.

| I know this has been said like a million times but everybody has gone tank crazy... The only reason I don't have like 10 tanks is because I am a broke teenager, so thats what slows me down...

| I just started this hobby in January. I just had a betta. The betta was in a very small bowl. Now six months later, he is in a 2 1/2 gal. bowl. I have a 20 gal, a 55 gal, a 5 1/2 GT tank. Promised hubby no more tanks. But if I was to get a 20 gal long, I know where I would put it and what I would put in it. LOL. So there you go. I am listenning to hubby and I am happy with the tanks I have.

| I know exactly how you feel!! I started this hobby back in December and I love it. I borrowed a 10G from my mom and then I "needed" a 46G for my bar. I totally get into the planning stage and then the setup and then the cycling and testing the water and then the picking the fish and then...... Heck, I even like partial water changes. Hubby and fam tells me I'm obsessive. I told my hubby the other day that I'd like a 110G and he was like WHAT?!!? So I'll be holding off on that for awhile. I've never had a real hobby that I've enjoyed so much. Well until lately I've discovered that I love flower gardens. We just built a house so we're doing our own landscaping. Did you know that plants are exactly like fish? They like certain ph's, they get fungus and bacteria problems, some are more finicky than others, oh, and it costs alot. I'm telling you, now I'm just as obsessive about plants. Anyway, long ramble. But yeah, I know how you feel. It's been about 8 months now since I started this and I've calmed down a bit. so maybe you will too. The newness eventually wears off. Some.
