I just lost 5 mollies...in one day...don't give up. Clean your tank, re-cycle it, be patient. Sounds like you had a good thing goin'. Just slow down and take your time.

I felt the same way a few months back. I thought that as long as you done everything you're supposed to that you'd never have any problems. That's just not true. I've come to realize that fish deaths are just part of it. Look at it this way, as soon as you're ready, now you can have the fun of planning on what new fish to get. Maybe try something you've never had before.

35 years and counting in this hobby.. I've done just about everything wrong that you can and I'm still sticking with it. I stopped counting the hundreds and even thousands of dollars I've spent on tanks .. fish .. plants .. corrals ( omg the SW experience ) over the years.

There is alot that you are going to learn and have to learn to be succesful in this hobby.. While I greave with you on your losses Worthless, it is but a drop in the bucket of what you will learn and experience if you stick with it. I started years ago with a metal framed slate bottomed 15g aquarium ( man I wish I still had it ) and have had fish rooms loaded with spiecies specific tanks. Now after all that, I've scaled back to just 4 tanks.

Point I'm making here is... if you got into this because you felt passionate about fish keeping, then you can NEVER leave... Suck up the loss and move on.. If you came into this thinking all would be success and little work and no loss? You've gotten into the wrong hobby.

We all think you should stick with it.. In the end though, it's your call.

so ya...bad stuff happens but yo learn from it and yo try to make better of what happened.

What kind of Pleco? Could it be attacking the fish while they're torpid?
Is the tank new, and was it cycled?

Don't feel bad worthless i've lost 12+ fish in the yr and a half i've been fish keeping and my latest was really sad, I lost a very high quality F1 masoni female that was pairing up with a F1 male. So much for little ones. what also really bummed me out was the fish dude I go to told me that the guy that breed them got out of breeding and now I don't know if I can find another one of that quality. But i'm not going to give up looking. good luck to you with what ever you decide to do.
