| Its a good start, I would look around for a Drop Checker, its the tried and true way to test levels. Besides buying a $2000 YSI...

| lol yeah no thanks . I was considering a cheap drop checker but I didn't see one at my LFS. I will likely grab one in September or something when I go back to school. For now I figure there are enough quirks to work out without worrying too too much about exact CO2 levels, you know?

| oh yeah? I will have to keep my eye out for that then. If I do get a drop checker though, I will likely get a nice glass one from you- why put those ugly plastic things in there when I could have that right?

Although, I must admit, I've been eyeing the glass ones from Orlando. They really do look nicer.
I have some CO2 being fed into my powerfilter in the 10 gallon with pretty good results. Of course, I have the water high enough so that the water flow just pushes the top, instead of dropping down a bit into the water, creating turbulence.

| yeah I have the same setup right now, with the water level being high- this way I hope to avoid the out-gassing or whatever. I am just worried that if the CO2 is in the filter output water then having it go across the surface- is it getting all the way to the bottom or...?
I like the idea of using the powerhead to push the bubbles into the filter output flow though so I am going to try that after I check my CO2 levels.

| Last Co2 setup I did I went with the setup that Avalon did with the powerhead and tubing that pretty much forced the gas to stay in the tube until it was almost totally dissolved. It worked very well. I'm not sure where the thread is right now, but it was easy to setup.
