| That picture is closer, but the stripes on mine aren't perfectly vertical like that picture. I still think its a bluegill though, at least thats what I'm hoping for. |

| Well it looks like they don't believe these are bluegills on the NANFA forum, but possibly northern longear or pumpkinseed. I'm going to try to get some better pictures in a little bit that I will post here and hopefully be able to get a positive ID on it. |

| lol, your thread brings back some warm memories for me Alter. Maybe when we start going swimming this year I can poke around the river for some fish and plants. Ive been watching this thread and just smiling whenever I read ya'lls posts. I hope my Boo enjoys the woods and waterways like I grew up loving it. Maybe this forum will still be going when he's old enough to participate. Too bad you don't live closer, we could go collecting! I still think you should have gone with a darter or two for your 10 gallon! LOL (biased) Just remember, darters and adolescent sunnies don't mix, haha. Sigh, Poor dead fishies of the past.Your post wont offend me Brian, it's all a part of nature. Not like you mutilated the bluies. lol
