The parasite is actually still there but in a slightly different spot and it can't be seen in the picture.

I'm finally home now so I'm hoping to start catching some fish very very soon!

Today I caught a couple fish that might be baby bluegill or at least some type of sunfish. These will eventually outgrow my little 10g tank, but I believe they should do fine in there for at least a couple of months till I'm able to get a larger tank. Here are some pictures of my catch today

Here are a couple of the first one that I caught. His caudal fin is looking really bad right now and is hardly there, but I'm hoping that he will recover from that.

Here is the same one squeezing himself behind a rock to attempt to hide.

Here is the other one now. The fins look much better, but there is a big black dot kinda in the middle if the forehead (if fish even have foreheads)

As far as I know this lake has neither perch or crappie in it so I'm not sure if those are possibilities or not. I did notice that there seems to be some iridescent blue on these fish that really doesn't seem to show up in the pictures but that could point more towards a bluegill or something else in the sunfish family. We will just have to wait and see what happens

I don't think they really have the stripes the way these fish do.
