Nice start!

So you built the stand yourself? Nice work.
In fact, it makes me wanna build one---albeit for a smaller tank...likely a 20 or 29 gal.

How did you end up figuring out how to put one together on your own? Did you search for blueprints on the internet? How are the support beams fastened together?

Sorry for giving you the '3rd degree' here, but your home-made stand has really got me interested in making one. I'm sure it would be a heck of a lot cheaper than buying it new!

And I definitely can't wait to see the 'finished product'---do you have fish picked out already?

Here is thread of my stand. Tomorrow I start DIY canopy. I will be moving the fish from my other tanks into the 75 Gal.

Lookin good. Bet you were excited to finally see it up with water and everything! What kind of fish are you planning on doing? I see you have two heaters. Now I'm wondering if I should put two in mine.

Wow, thanks Maha!
I'll check out that DIY thread of yours and see just what I'm up against in terms of the DIY stand idea. Should be interesting, what with being in a 3rd floor apartment with no garage---perhaps I can build on the balcony? LOL

Thanks again.

The tank looks awesome...i'm jealous that you have the 75 gal and the 18 inch width to aquascape with instead of the 13 inches i have w/ my 55 gal. I was just wondering what filter media you have in your XP2. Do you just have the filter pads they included, or do you have ceramic or carbon in there?

Smile Update 12 Nov

I started to cycle the tank using some Feeder guppies. I added some Decor from my other tanks. The Tires and the Rock. I also moved some of my plants. The water is still cloudy I added a AC 30 Filter with some floss to get the water clear. Here are the Photos of what I did today.

I made the slate shelf. I will be adding more plants to it when I start moving fish.
