Thunder - I more meant the top of the plant level would move downward, not the substrate, meaning I would concentrate my taller/bushier plants towards the back left corner, then get shorter/more open as the tank moves towards the front and right.

That is as opposed to where I'm currently headed, which is to have the plants taller and bushier in both corners, and shorter/sparser in the middle.

Where did you happen to find those moss balls? If you ordered them online can you provide me with a link or something? I cant seem to find them and I realy like the look they have. I was thinking about throwing one in my 10 gal.

I've never seen them anywhere at any stores in my life, Breene. I would like to have one too and put it on the tree stump in my tank.

And if you want them cheaper, and with cheaper shipping, try Ebay....

Just a quick parameters update...

Ammonia 0.0
Nitrite 0.5
Nitrate 0.0

Seems like the little spike/mini-cycle is progressing fairly well - I expect to be back at 0.0 ammonia and nitrites in the next couple days. The 0.0 Nitrates is, I'm assuming, because of the plants - they're really growing now, which is great.

I'm also getting my first touches of green algae (some on the white rock, some on the aquarium walls). That's my cue to hurry up and get CO2 set up...
