|  Clinched Fins...HELP! Some of my bettas have come down with clinched fin disease....HELP! What should I treat them with? These are expensive bettas...I dont want to loose them!!!

| Re: Clinched Fins...HELP! This has happended to my bettas that i kept in jars a couple of times...I moved them to a bare 5 gallon tank, raised the temperature two degrees and added salt everyday for a week. I fed them live foods and bloodworms, they were fine after that.

| Re: Clinched Fins...HELP! They have been in my 38 gallon guppy tank, in betta dividers. I moved them to jars this evening with a little bit of meth blue. Now I gotta treat my guppies as well! I just got my 40 gallon gourami tank cleared up of ich...now I've got this!!!

| Re: Clinched Fins...HELP! The Meth. blue will help. Change the watter in the charges very often. (50% a day or so) and hopefully it will pass :-/

| Re: Clinched Fins...HELP! Clamped (clinched) fins usually indicate the onset of white spot,velvet or toxins in the water. Have you overcleaned your filter? Has anyone used any sprays near aquarium? If there is no sign of white spot or velvet, cast your mind back and try and remember if any toxins have come into contact with the water. 8)

| Re: Clinched Fins...HELP! nothing has changed. And I cant remember any chemicals of any kind coming in contact with any of my tanks. Are there any other meds I can try? What about BettaMax? Is that any good?

| Re: Clinched Fins...HELP! As already suggested,loads of good water changes. If you can find some,Esha 2000 seems to give good results. 8)

| Re: Clinched Fins...HELP! Dumpping a lot of meds. in to a tank is never a good idea. I feel it cause more problems. Add salt and do water changes, I have had the best luck with this. |

| Re: Clinched Fins...HELP! I have just been doing good water changes every day (50%) with just a little meth blue. One male is recovering nicely....but I am very sad to report that I have lost my Melano Male (his father was an IBC champ) and I lost my Opaque Male (pure G. Lines) :'( I still have 2 opaque females from the same line, and the sister to my melano.....they just dont have mate now. Im very upset over this. Those were EXPENSIVE and VERY BEAUTIFUL Bettas.
