Post What to put in a 29gallon?

Question,

I have a 29gallon tank. There are about 7 ottocats and a few amano shrimps. the layout is very similar to the amano tanks on this website (the same rocks, vals in the background, and wide, wide space filled with glosso).

Since it's pretty much empty, I was wondering if anyone could suggest what i  could keep in it.

I was interested in some german blue rams etc. any ideas?

Thanks!

Johnny

This is just me, but i would make it a barb tank. They look stunning, i just love the way they school with each other, swiming up and down left and right. Its great fun to watch them tussle over food and anything else. But thats just my idea.

Barbs are a good idea, maybe some docile Gouramis or Angelfish.

Angelfish and barbs are great choices, I've kept both, and also you should definitely consider some cichlids or tetras they too are great.

I'm all about the cichlids lately, but barbs do sound like a good idea.

You should put Figure 8 Puffers and green scats in there that would be cool!or maybe a convict,a firemouth,a serverum,a jack dempsey,a oscar and then later on get a way bigger tank like a 125 gallon

I would go with the rams they are so much fun to watch.  They slam the brakes every few inches or so it's amazing!!!! They could stop on a dime ;D And their colors are outstanding!

New Guinea Rainbowfish!!!!

All you need is a pair of males and suddenly you will have a shimmery red wonderful to watch tank.

(They love to be fed by hand too!)

;D
