| Thanks catfishmike. I think we all unforunately needed a little reminder.

| Yes, thank you catfishmike! I see people putting down other people all the time, the rude way. If you have a suggestion for someone, try putting it nicely, instead of trying to tear them down. If you are having a bad day, take it elsewhere!

| Hey Mike...I have a question about these rules. Mostly about the under 13 rule. Someone told me that he and another person both started at MFT when they were under 13 without using the special application and getting a parent's approval...and while I think we all agree that its great for younger kids to be involved in this hobby and this site, its worthy to note that we've had recent trouble with one of these members...and that trouble might not have happened if he had followed the rules about registration.
Do to MFT Moderators and "staff" care about enforcing these rules or do anything to lookout for this? The reason I ask is because someone else told me that the 13 and under rules "came with the site" and couldn't be changed...
If we dont want to start a discussion about this please feel free to delete this post and PM me. Thanks. -H |

| i don't mind froggy.i mainly started this thread to remind everyone that it was a place for fish not arguing and putting each other down ect... at the time when i posted this a lot of new members(and some old ones too)were having a hard time restraining themselves when the didn't like the response.i belive the under 13 thing is to limit legal liability.i'm not sure if it is a law or a self imposed rule?

| I removed the link to the board that Manag provided - I felt it was inappropriate.
Froggy in regards to your question when you sign up you are asked to choose whether or not you are over or under 13. I would think it is hard to monitor this so it is on the honour system.
I am sure Arcab4 could fill us in on the intricate details. |

| Froggy asks a good question and nicely said as well. If members are under the age of 13, and we are having problems with them/he/she does the board have any options? How are problems handled other than locking posts out?
