Aqaurium ornaments

My fish tank has only been operating for a month now and I have started to notice coloring on some of my ornaments and sea shells that were placed in the aquarium. What would this be and what should I do.

Algae - you could get some algae eaters or wipe it off and improve the water quality.

Yeah, probably algae...but what color "coloring"?  There is really no way to totally avoid algae...some is actually beneficial in my opinion.  See if you can give us more information about this "coloring" and your tank set-up.

I BELIEVE IT WAS DEFINETLY ALGAE, IT WAS GREEN AND SLIGHTLY BLACK AND BROWN. IT CAME OFF WHEN I WIPED THEM DOWN.
