Post My nitrite readings

Hey guys remember that I told you a week ago that my fishless cycle finally had some nitrite detected? My nitrites at that time were 0.25 the lowest on my test kit scale ,barely detectable. After a week they are still at that level 0.25. Is this normal? Should I of had a spike up by now?

Post Re: My nitrite readings

It does seem to be strange but maybe not! Every tank can cycle differently because of different variables. How much ammonia are you adding? If you are adding a small amount, the bacteria is keeping up. Try adding more maybe!! What are your nitrates? and your ammonia levels?
