Default Tank cycling...

Is it better to do the fishless cycling?? We cycled all of our tank with danios... that is how our local fish store told us to do it.... I would really like to try the other method...

use pure ammonia in conjunction with filter media from a matured tank. a simple slice off the sponge filter media from any of your running tanks would speed up the cycle. but keep adding ammonia to the tank. read up on ammonia cycling.

Lemme find the recipe that youre talking about...but yes thats essentially what you want to do.

EDIT: Yes that recipe should be your bible when you set up a new tank. if you read all of it youll see that he suggests putting some filter media from an established tank into the new filter in the cycling tank.
