I just heard that you cannot put heaters in fishbowls, but it didn't say anything about glass or plastic, I was curious, so I asked the question!

it depends what shape the tank is, i found it practically impossible to get a heater for a round tank but a rectangular or hex. tank should be fine

At the Petsmart I work for we sell these very small and very thin heaters that heat 2-5 gallon tanks. They raise the temperature to about 75°.

Here's a link to the product online.

I wouldn't put any fish in something that small, but maybe that's just me. Even my bettas get bigger tanks.

I am just curious because it'sgood to know! if I was going to get a small tank, It probably wouldn't be so small, I just sorta typed in 1-3g, I meant more like 1-5g. Anyways, live in canada, and I haven't seen any petsmarts around, so I could try Pets Unlimited or whatever, if I was going to go for a fish bowl\small tank heater. Thanks

Hmm. probably right there, Rexy! Oh well I'm not getting a fishbowl any time soon, so until I do, I'm good.
