Exclamation cheap but good lighting system please help

im looking for a lighting system that would be good for a 30 gallon

Is it planted? If so then I would sujest checking out some DIY lighting.

i would get a water proof one but there almost the same if you ask me! just buy one that would be easyest for you.

might just want to check your LFS and see if they might cut you a deal on some lights they might just have lying around. I got a 36' perfecto strip light for only 40 bucks!

Or you can visit Home Depot and buy a strip light for half of what a fish store will sell it to you, especially if you do not have plants.

Orion, I think you paid way too much. As already suggested, you could go to home depot and get a shop light with two bulbs for only $7-$10.

i'm with NJ get them at homedepot they even sell fishtank lights but i'd get the GE sunshine bulb gives a nice bright white/blue lighting but since ur not gonna have plants with an oscar i'd a single bulb strip, dual strips might start causin algae problems unless u can take care of the algae every other day
