A full canopy on a 20g high would make the tank look WAY small.
The viewing area would appear to be about 6 inches high.

I was thinking about making the shape mimick the plastic but didn't have the tools to do so.

Nice work GISGuy! That is exactly the same type of box I'm thinking of making for my 65 gallon planted tank.

Just an observation:
.....The hood cooling is working perfectly.
.....I have not had any issues with heat, electrical, wood warping, etc.
That's all for now, carry on.

!!
All of the pictures are gone.
This is because my Internet provider changed.
InsightCommunications was bought by ComCast.
The pictures will not transfer from former to new servers.
I'll have to see if I can still get them.
