Default DIY Breeding trap?

Hey folks,

Well we tried the breeding trap with one of our guppies... Poor mommy freaked out soo bad I had to let her out.

I've been looking around and I'm not finding anything I Like! What I'd like to have is something that would be about 1-2gal in size so the fish have some room to move, and have a bottom that the fry will fall through...

Thoughts on how to make it? I can get some ABS or acrylic sheets pretty easy, question is how big to make the holes in the bottom so mommys cant get through but the fry can...

Andy

if it is something like you want the babies to fall into s sort of box thing and the mother to not fall into it you could get some fine mesh big enough for the babies but small enough for the mother then you could hang the box ove the top of your tank and take the mother out

just a thought

make box that is the size you want 1g 5g what ever but make the bottom into a V shap that will allow the babys to fall through but not the guppy.. then you can either move the mother to another tank to release the clutch or you can use the V configoration to have the babys drop into another container to then be moved to another container this works the best and is usually the lest stressful.

make it out of acrylic
