I have a calvus that has an open sore on one flank just behind the gills, it first appeared a couple of weeks ago and has got progressively larger.
When the open sore started to get a secondary fungal infection I treated the tank with MelaFix. The white fluffy fungus went away after a week but has now returned.
The open hole is just getting bigger, no parasites or internal organs are visible. The wound is not bloody or showing infection other than the white fungus.
The fish is otherwise fine, continues to feed and shows no signs of stress.
Any ideas?
