| about two weeks ago my black convit's had fry, this is the first time that I have had fry this was not on purpose by any means but now they are here and I have to do something about them. I need to know how long they can stay in my 55 gal tank with mom dad and about 6 other Chilids that I don't know all the names, when can I send them to new homes. I have a pet store in the area that will take some. If anyone can help me that would be great. Thank you in advance for any advise. ![]() |

| Congrats on the fry. If you don't have another tank to move the fry into, it's pretty doubtful that you'll have any left to send to new homes. With six other cichlids in the tank, they'll get eaten. Mom and dad may even start to eat them when they are ready to spawn again. |
