| well I got 2 new fish. got a male and female green terror. so fare they seem to be getting along with my africans so I think they should be fine. I got rid of a few other fish to make room for them but I think it was well worth the trade.

| What size tank do you have? So far I have 2 Africans myself and I was wondering what to add next, I was thinking electric blue and yellow Cich's. I heard that green terrors are more aggressive than most cichlids and need big tanks, I might have to take a chance on them as well because I think they are cool lookin fish. Is the rest of your tank just African cichs?

| Goldsaums (aka green terrors) do not really make good tank mates for Africans. The best tank mates for mbuna, are other mbuna. I hope you have another tank that isn't listed in your signature? A 55gal is much, much too small for a pair of goldsaums as they mature. Will you be upgrading? |

| I had two green terrors in a 125 g a few years ago(along with some Jacks, convicts) They got along well for a while..then the male started beating on the female. She was dead the next day. That was a 6 foot tank. SO it wont always work. 55 may be a problem sooner than you expect, especially if they breed. My africans Mbuna have a differant diet than my Ca cichlids. So I wont mix them. I do have african Jewels in with the Ca's and they are fine on the cichlid foods I feed them.
