Default New Fishes :P

well I got 2 new fish. got a male and female green terror. so fare they seem to be getting along with my africans so I think they should be fine. I got rid of a few other fish to make room for them but I think it was well worth the trade.

What size tank do you have? So far I have 2 Africans myself and I was wondering what to add next, I was thinking electric blue and yellow Cich's. I heard that green terrors are more aggressive than most cichlids and need big tanks, I might have to take a chance on them as well because I think they are cool lookin fish. Is the rest of your tank just African cichs?

Goldsaums (aka green terrors) do not really make good tank mates for Africans. The best tank mates for mbuna, are other mbuna.

I hope you have another tank that isn't listed in your signature? A 55gal is much, much too small for a pair of goldsaums as they mature. Will you be upgrading?

We have 2 severums that are about 4 in. Are they mature enough to sex? What is the best way to sex them via the fins or the face? Thanx!

I had two green terrors in a 125 g a few years ago(along with some Jacks, convicts) They got along well for a while..then the male started beating on the female. She was dead the next day. That was a 6 foot tank. SO it wont always work. 55 may be a problem sooner than you expect, especially if they breed.

My africans Mbuna have a differant diet than my Ca cichlids. So I wont mix them. I do have african Jewels in with the Ca's and they are fine on the cichlid foods I feed them.
