Default African food for SA cichlids

Since flake food gets eaten by other fish before they can reach my bottom-dwelling rams, I bought some sinking pellets for them. But the only kind of sinking pellets the store had were for africans. It doesn't really matter that much does it?

says for african cichlids and other bottom feeders. Well, rams are cichlids, and they stay at the bottom, so...

Should be fine. Hell i feed my cichlid food to my SW tanks with no ill effects.
