| Hi, this might not be exactly what you're looking for... but it is true... How to breed convicts 1) have a male and female in one tank . . . Yup that about covers it, they'll take care of the rest lol . These guys spawn in just about any conditions, and are some of the easiest fish to raise. In some cases you do run into a few snags like the male getting over protective and attacking the female or Egg eating parents but for the MOST part they are model parents and all *you* have to do is keep them healthy and offer food small enough for the young. | most ppl say... all you need to do to breed convicts is put a male and female in a bucket of water i disagree, i think they would manage to breed without the water in the bucket :P i heard one fish keeper refer to convicts as "gremlins" once you add water they take over and become terrors give the pair a teracota flower pot turned on its side, the female love to lay eggs in these

| how long does it take once the eggs have been laid cos my convicts have just laid eggs and are gaurding them any help lads thanks |

| My eggs take just less than a week for the eggs to hatch but a little over a week to be swimming.

| less I'd say, eggs sacks should be gone in like 11-13 days.
