Post sorta new to this...

I haven't ever done any fish breeding, but I want to, so I wondered what fish to start with. I found out guppies are good for beginers, and before I get any, I need to know some stuff. What size tank will they need? Will they eat the fry? Do I need any special equitment to breed them? Will they breed any time of the year, so I'd have to always keep the male and female seperate through the year? And finally, what water temp is best for a guppy? Whew. I hope somebody knows these answers! *;D

I dont know too much about guppies (or really what to), but all I heard was that you need to put them in water and you should be fine.  ryingsmiley*

Guppies are very easy to breed.  Just provide a temp around high 70's with somewhat soft water and they will breed constantly.  Had to get rid of my guppies because it overtook my 20 gallon.

Just be sure to provide hiding places such as floating moss so the fries can hide.  You can also catch the fries and place them in a separate tank.

I got two pairs of guppies! The one female was pregnant when I bought her, and is getting pretty fat. I have tons of plants in the tank, alot of the kind that cover the bottom and some that are nice and thick and good for the fry to hide inside of.
