Post Breeders of the world unite?

*admits*
Recently I've become obsessed with seeing baby fish - who cares what kind! I just want to see some reproduction here! So I bought some rams and here we go. In my quest for information, I came across a page detailing one person's experience with the Rams. Of all the places to visit on the net (except here, no offense peeps!), this page was not only the most informative, but also the most interesting. It's specific to Rams.

http://www.apisto.bravepages.com/article1.htm

I thought, well I'm going to make one too. Not to copy this page - more like I said "Hey that dude kept a journal, it was really useful to me - I should record my experiences in a similar fashion."

So that's what I am doing:

Now here's what I am wondering:

How many of you people have done something similar? IE: Kept an illustrated journal of your experiences trying to breed a fish (any fish, not just rams)?

We should collect journals like this, in a standard format and keep them somewhere together.

Would anyone find that useful? Does it already exist? Time for me to shut up?

- ps i have no idea why the text is all whacked out. linking to a php page within this form seems to have that effect?

I just rearranged the little 5'er - hopefully I have provided better breeding sites. I'm going to hold out a bit longer and see if they'll breed in the 5 still. They're both still small ... it's not too cramped.

I noticed they even hate the mystery snail in there. I'll take that as a good sign though - they're becoming territorial.

Ok..this is a 5g? Could you tell me how it's setup? Water Params etc?

And a foolproof way to sex the little boogers would help too.

I have a couple empty 5s around...I would like to try this.

Yeah, sweet.

luvfishies - you can find all the info you want at the URL below.

There are pix and journals of my breeding experiences.

The bottom has all the tank parameters. If you want an overhead idea of how the tank is laid out, check the link (in the text somewhere) to the sketch of the layout.

Additionally, there are two links under "Books & Websites" to similar pages by other people.

could be the tank size...I've heard and read minimum 10g for rams.

Damn....that stinks though......they will get it right, you obviously have a fertile pair.

Ok ok ... i observed them all night last night and peeked this morning again. i think the babies may be in a small pit near the back. it's almost impossible to see though.
