|  algae eaters for brackish can anyone suggest a suitable eater for an established brack tank. Approx 1.006 or so. Can common plecos do well, and are there better ones than others? thanks Exodon

| ive seen plecos in brackish water in the wild so you could try them if you wanted, i just dont have algae eaters in my brackish tank, the algae doesnt seem to be nearly as bad as in my freshwater tank as far as growth and coverage goes

| I get mostly what seems to be red algae in my tank which is easy to clean off. Get a sponge, plop it on a stick and rub it around, its usually enough to get rid of it. Like soulfish said, try acclimating some type of pleco, there are tons of different species. I don't think most people have had much luck though.
