Puffers Teeth

None of my puffers teeth have gotten long.  What does it look like when the teeth do get long?

Puffers have teeth like mice.(2 top and 2 bottom) and like mice they keep growing unless worn down. The puffers teeth if not taken care of will force the puffers mouth open and will make it difficult for them to eat, 'cause they have to open up extra wide. I had that problem before and it was a pain in the ass to fix. But both of my puffers are doing well now.

My green-spotted puffer is pea-size.  When will he have noticable teeth?  Most of all, I'd like to introduce some tiny snails to my tank (yes, I know the risks) and want to know when he'll be big enough to eat them.

Most of the info. I've found on puffers pertains to larger, adult puffers, so any advice on raising these guys from little babies is much appreciated.  Thanks!

  I would try to place the snails in a quarantine tank for a while before introducing them. Most people consider snails a pest, but loaches or puffers should keep the population in check.
