Default Bending reflectors?

I'm considering getting the AH Supply 2x55w kit for my 75 gallon tank. From what I've read, the reflectors have a narrow light spread which won't be enough for the width of a 75G tank.

Is it possible to bend these reflectors outward in order to increase the light spread?

Thanks!

the better reflectors are designed pretty well and i probably wouldn't want to mess with them.

The highth of the light compaired to the sunbrate will affect the spread so maybe you could work with this.
