Did you google it? i found a few things, looks like a plant that prefures to be emmersed. Leaves on the water surface, could provide good shade for a betta

Syngonium podophyllum v. 'White Butterfly'

It is commonly sold as an aquarium plant, but it must not be kept submerged. It will rot underwater.

A friend of mine uses Anubias barteri v. 'nana' in her betta tanks. The leaves are broad and 'stiff' underwater and her fish like to 'sit' (for lack of a better description) on them when resting. They don't grow very fast so won't overtake a small container.

I searched out the Anubias I ordered, Anubia coffefolia. I'm hoping it will fill the same niche. Its hard for me to get plants here. One store never carries them since the owner says he has a black thumb. The other only special orders them.

It should work out nicely for you. It grows a bit bigger than the nana, but still is small. Same type of leaves too.

Are you close to Faribault? There is an online dealer there that I have ordered from in the past with great results. The thing is, once you get good at growing plants, you have plenty to 'trade' to others, so you can get different species that way! HAHA!

Regarding the Anubia, my tank is a 14g tall so I think I have the room for growth in that direction. I think its time to start saving for a bigger tank lol. I have so many things I wanna do and cant heh.

Faribault, not at all. It would be about 5 hours away I think. What did you get from there?

Aquarium plants, and aquascape plant packages

I bought a 'low light' package from them awhile back. They have a good selection if you want a specific plant too.
