Default Plant recommendations for 10 gal...

Hey everyone,

I've decide to plant my 10 gal. I'll be running:

eco-complete substrate
seachem root tabs
DIY CO2 with one 2 liter reactor.
Diffusion with limewood.
4.8 wpg lighting (T-5)
HO fixture with reflectors.
Full Flourish line dosing throughout each week (with one day of no dosing)
IE dosing strategy
Eheim Ecco filter
Heater

Now firstly, someone might say to stay away from the IE strategy. It fits my budget, and i would really like to stay with this.

I need some suggestions as to what kind of background plant i could use in that kind of lighting, that would stay medium in height, and wont grow as tall as some hairgrass does.

Some grassy looking plant like this: http://www.practicalfishkeeping.co.u...an_iwagumi.jpg

I have already decided to use HC for my foreground carpet. Now i only need one more type of plant that looks like the grassy one in that work of Peter Kirwan.

I was thinking LILAEOPSIS BRASILIENSIS. But i hear this will not grow tall if grown in very bright light (such as the 4.8 wpg) Instead sources are suggesting it will grow horizontally more than vertically.

Any help with the plant decisions or any suggestions in general will be appreciated.

I think the plant in that tank is Saggitaria subulata. It would probably be a good choice.

i have a glo balast the only thing that i dont like about it is you have to have it on a timer (there is no on off switch go figure right!) with that aside i think you will want it on a timer anyways! if you dont get that then a coralife compact would be the other route probably pick either of them up for around $100 or less since you only need a 20" one! i think dwarf baby tears would be sick with some microswords and then maybe some small jagged rock formation or even a replicated underwater tree with some flame moss as the canopy! i want to get some dwarf baby tear from what i read it takes over and grows in mats! maybe throw some shrimp in with and watch them groom the moss!

Thanks for that info. I've decided to go with HC rather than dwarf baby tears, and dwarf sag instead of micro swords. As for the rocks, the only ones i could find were Zebra rocks at my LFS. i got the biggest ones they had; not much of a selection there :P

I will have my Coralife fixture on a timer...o and btw i bought the coralife xD I did contemplate for a while on the Glo fixture, but it was just more expensive. plus i ordered two Glo T-5 bulbs anyway for the coralife, so all should be good.

Ummm...I *think* that plant was Blaxya Japonica - Not Dwarf Sag. Sag looks more...hmmm....crunchy? Bigger Leaves? NS how to say it.
