Default How important is flourite?

How important is it to have fluorite in a planted tank? How much will it help plants grow, and how healthy will they be without it? Unfortunately, I mixed crushed limestone with it, which messed with my water, so I have to buy more or pick out all the limestone piece by piece. If I DO use it, should I replant everything, and do major gravel shifting, or is it ok if I just push the gravel with nothign growing it it aside, throw the fluorite in that space, and cover it up? Will the nutrients get to the plant that way?

I prefer to use Flourish Tabs in my tanks that have plain gravel substrate. Flourite isn't so popular anymore. It can cause big problems if the gravel is stirred and it gets to the surface.

If you do use it, it should be fine to move the gravel over it, as you described.
