| lol sorry stratikans- I already called his trimmings! hahahaha
Those are amazing Avalon. Some day I am going to set up two 50G tanks- one for show, and one for the collection of random plants as I get them, that way I will always have different types of plants available to me- plants like yours!

| Nice stargrass! I've attempted to grow it twice, but it doesn't seem to like my water. |

| I will be as soon as June is over (POTM reasons), but they will pale in comparison to Avalon's here. He always has to come and show me up :/ hahaha.
Now Avalon, I have a question for you. You have AMAZING colour to your plants- green ones are vibrantly green, red ones are deep red. HOW?! Ho do you bring out the colour so bloody well? My rotala indica refuses to be anything but either a faded green or a greeny pink, and any red plant I throw in there starts growing green leaves in my tank!! How do you bring out such wonderful colours?

I focus on growing a healthy plant. I'm not concerned with growth rates via high light. I'm not limiting nitrogen to bring out the red coloration. I dose heavy on the traces and consistent daily iron dosing. I don't ever the follow 'recommended' dosing 'requirements'; they are usually way too low. The light is good, the CO2 is good, the nutrients are good, but the most important thing is consistency. Unless you are the traveling type, I don't buy the "I don't have time to dose my tank" excuse. I work my butt off and commute, but I still have the 1 minute it takes to dump ferts in my tank before I leave in the morning. Heck, I haven't seen my tank with lights on the past 2 days!

But I guess you will really be able to tell how much they've grown once you do see it .
I dose every morning as well, but I guess I have to figure out where the balance is in my tank. You got me much closer than I was before, but my reds are still green and my greens still ugly lol.
