| Meet the new guy! I first noticed this fella 2 weeks ago at the LFS. I told myself if he was still there today, he was coming home with me -- and he was, so he did
VW, my PM questions should now make more sense

| Appears to be some sort of pleco, congrats.
Think you could maybe try to get some close-up shots? lol j/k
Looks great! Excellent level of detail in those pics---he must be a fairly sociable pleco (i.e. unlike mine, who hides constantly)?

| It's a Flash Pleco, L-204. (Guess I should have said that before, hehe)
It's a Panaque species, one of the wood eaters and closely related to Clown Plecos.
He's definitely the most gregarious of the three species I've kept. I'm really happy with the purchase

| In addition to adding the L-204 yesterday, I also did filter maintenance and a 20% water change.
I also moved the heater to a horizontal position behind the rocks on the right side, and installed the second heater in a similar position on the left side. Now, the only equipment you can see is the vortex reactor.
I'm experiencing a little bit of a green algae outbreak on the walls and surfaces of the aquarium, so I think I'll dial down my nitrate dosing this week to see if it helps (I'll also test to make sure they're actually out of whack before doing so). Other than that, the tank is happy and healthy |
