Maybe you should try one of those java moss wall things on the back. I think it would look good.

Well, I decided to get back on the horse and pick up some new fish at the LFS. I went in looking for 10 pencilfish and 2 SAE's, but they only had 5 pencilfish and 1 SAE - so I got those.

They've acclimated now and are exploring their new home. I'll give them a couple days before I start flashing a camera at them, but I will get pictures somewhat soon

Visited my friend the pleco breeder this morning and came home with three young LDA-08's. He didn't have any L-134's though, so that hunt continues...

I lost a pencilfish overnight - and I'm pretty sure the SAE is to blame. He was seen harassing them yesterday and this morning, attempting to eat their slime coat.

That won him a trip back to the LFS, where I picked up a school of 6 columbian tetras that are acclimating now...

Bummer about the pencilfish.

Awesome! I was contemplating getting these for my 55 gal. as well, but the slight size/speed advantage of the Buenos Aires steered me away from that. It's too bad, cuz' I really prefer the Columbians---they should really liven things up in your tank. They're pretty too!

So far, the Columbians are cracking me up!

They'll be nicely schooling along, and all of the sudden, they'll just completely spaz out for absolutely no reason It's absolutely hilarious -- I had sort of come to view tetras as part of the "landscaping" so to speak, but these guys actually have some personality...
