Post Has anyone heard or a product called Carb Pro?

The lfs the other day displayed an interesting item. It is a piece of carbon about 4x6 inches bound by 2 stainless steel plates. You place the sheet of carbon into the tank and adjust the regulator to the amount of CO2 you want produced.

It seems like an interesting idea, but looks like it might zap the fish. Somehow an electrical current causes the block of carbon to react with the water in the tank and produce CO2.

Has anyone heard of this product and or used one?

yeah, I've heard of it.  I think there should be a thread on it.  If it works it would be good, but the replacement blocks are expensive....a co2 tank would be much cheaper in the long run.  It costs about 5 bucks to fill a C02 tank.

I found it....I should be able to just put a link on here for you...but I know know how.  so...do this

Go to the top of the page, to the right side and click on message boards.

Go to the aquatic plants section

go to the 2nd page of this section

There is a tread labled CO2  and the author is Franky099  That is the right one.  Read down a few posts and you will find the info about Carbo Plus

Hope this helps a little!
