| CO2 Recipe I got a one gallon glass jug, a rubber cork with a hole in the middle, some tubing, silicon glue, and an air stone. I'm almost ready to start adding CO2 to my 55 gallon. Now all I need is to know how much yeast, sugar, and water to put. Help?

| Re: CO2 Recipe sugar=4 cups
yeast= ½ tsp
Dont fill it all the way with warm water, leave space at the top.
Some people add a pinch or two of baking soda to stabalize the mix.(i don't)
remeber, bring the yeast to room temp, then add it, then pour 1/2 the warm water in, and shake/mix it well, then fill it leaving a nice space at the top of the jug.

| Re: CO2 Recipe Thanks.
How long does it last and when it does stop bubbling do I dump out the whole thing and start over or just add more sugar?

| Re: CO2 Recipe Usually last 2-4 weeks with that recipe. You can probably dump half of the mixture after it fizzles out and add sugar and water and it will start up again. It worked for me but I decided to just start from scratch again because the amount of alcohol created could actually suppress the yeast if you reused it.
P.S. ANother alternative is too add some hops to the mixture and make your own beer. hehe. |

| Re: CO2 Recipe My parents make they're own beer and wine. So this is familiar territory for me. ;D
