Default Quick deficiency question

my L. Repens is growing rapidly but the leaves look sort of see-through near the stem on the new leaves. Also, algae-wise, the main algae that seems to be thriving in my tank is a gray-white thready kind of algae that is very strong but pulls off of the plant easily enough, yet some force still required. I also have some green dusty algae, but it seems to be going away.

I feel it to be a N deficiency, but what do you think?
