7.6 is where my ph hangs out at. I really don't think you should worry about the ph. It's more of a hassle than anything. Most fish are gonna survive just fine at 7.6 even if they are found in more acidic water. The main concern will be if you want to breed and then you might have to worry about ph as some eggs won't develop unless there's a certain ph. Keep this in mind-Fish prefer a STABLE ph more so than a specific number. It's hard to keep ph stable when you have to always try to change it. I've never tried to alter my ph. Also, as the water ages in the tank sometimes the ph will change just a little. When I first set up my tank it was at 7.8 and has now lowered just a little. Your's may do the same.
So, really, just concentrate on getting that thang cycled so you get to the exciting part. Adding fish!
