Do you have any tank cleaners in there, i.e snails, crabs, etc? It would be a good idea to get some astrea or turbo snails and some hermitt crabs. They will help keep your tank clean, help take care of algae, keep your glass clean, etc. Invest in a SW test kit. API makes a good SW master test kit. It measures high level pH, nitrite, nitrate, and ammonia. I also bought a kit to measure calcium and a kit for KH.

Clean up crew going: Turbo snails, Cerith snails, Nassarius snails, and Astrea snails. Red Legged Hermits too.
