Gouramis tend to go for fine-leaved plants most of all. Other anubias species, Java fern, and mosses will be your best bet. You might get away with swords, if you can get large ones.
I did read somewhere that they shred plants to provide more cover. If you add a lot more plants, they may stop (but no guarantees).
