Columbian tetra's should go well with angels. They get a bit larger than most average tetra's, but I've not ever seen mine chase anyone other than one another, and then it's just a quick burst and no contact. I think they are more active than the normal tetra with a bit more color. And with a 55 you've got some room for a decent group of these guys.
