Have you checked the ammonia/nitrites? If not, do that.

To be honest, it probably wasn't a good idea to put in the peat moss while treating, just because it's better to keep things constant if you have a sick fish. Massive changes in parameters can stress them, and add to the disease problems. Sorry, I didn't really read that part when you posted it. The peat is probably also the reason for the murkiness.
