Angels get big enough to eat small tetras and danios. I don't know from experience but that's what I hear.
If you go with one of the sharks go with the redfin. Also called rainbow shark. The redtail is different and more aggressive. I'd avoid cories if you go with a shark. Someone said cories are boring and I hate admitting it but they are right. They are cute as can be and are good at clean up but they are very shy. So you don't get to see much of their personality.
I've never had tiger barbs but I love the look of them. Most everyone says get a large school (8-10 or more?) and they keep the aggression in the school.
