I also woudl be up for some suggestions on stocking a 55 gallon.
I am in the process of cycling and I have 12 danios in right now we got today - 6 pearl and 6 zebra.
I really like the cories, and would prefer a community tank of fish that are not so tiny and not real big either.
I like busynose, clown pleco, raindbow shark but not sure how compatible, rasbora's are real nice!
