I figured the paint would be bad for it. I doubt I will use a pvc pipe in there too. I think I figure something out with the rocks to create some sort of little cave in there.
I don't think I'm going to make it to the LFS today to get any plants so I will have some time to mess around with the aquascape tonight. I will see what i can come up with. I think I will also move the rocks to the right side of the tank like Jen suggested. This should allow the driftwood to be more visible and with the rocks over on that side it should also help hide the heater some as well.
